Hello out there! One day you wake up and it's 8 months since you last updated your website...
I am excited, and proud to be working with Robert Todd at Down To Earth Harvest while Full Circle CSA is inoculating as contract farmers as we find some soil in which to sow the seeds of our pereniel farm!
One of many synchronicities in my life was stumbling upon a help wanted ad on the PASA website (Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture) . In years past, I would slow down to check out Down To Earth Harvest's pristine gardens. I was anxious to help when I found out that Down To Earth Harvest had moved to Downingtown and needed a hand getting established. When I first met with Robert, I knew he was a real craftsman. You can see the passion in his eyes, and it wasn't long into the season before we were on our hands and knees just checking out the soil conditions and the life that would be doing more work than us making nutrients available for the vegetables. At Down To Earth Harvest, the focus is on healthy soil full of minerals and organic matter to feed the vegetables keeping them strong and less susceptible to pest and disease. I'm getting to live my dreams working in Bob's newly established permanent raised beds. This "market garden" model allows for minimal tillage and the opportunity for real focus on building soil, very comfortable beds for a baby vegetable.
I've seen many familiar and friendly faces already at the Eagleview Farmers Market. You can find me there selling Down To Earth Harvest's certified Naturally Grown produce at the Eagleview Farmers Market at Town Center every Thursday from 3-7. I look forward to it!
